Soshenstar River and Treasure Map Guide

Hey Guildies!

As you venture through the campaign/zone Tomb of Annihilation you'll receive treasure maps from the Merchant Prince in Chult. Most of your missions will be in the Soshenstar River map. Here is a very simple guide for you. There are only 12 maps in this zone. I've found them pretty easy to find. Simply compare the map you have to the image below. When looking for your map, search the ground for suspicious looking rock. They will all look very similar. Some are hidden under the brush or roots so look carefully all around. If you have trouble, send a tell in game and we'll assist you. Just tell us what # map you have.

Be sure to look around everywhere for blue flowers, they drop crafting materials and bait for fishing in the river. Your SoMI boat will work here. Just hop in the water but be careful doing so around crabs or if wounded.

Caution:

If you are not 10-12k Item Level be very cautious. We do not advise that you travel here alone if you are level 70 below this item level. All of the monsters here travel in packs and there is a very angry Tyrannosaurus wandering around. He will send you flying like a baseball!

Also... Lions and Tigers and Bears OH MY! There are also spiders, snake people, and a gazillion dinos large, medium, and small that will charge, jump, swarm, and even spook your mounts into turning around.

Be careful with the snake people, they're quite the charmers! If you see an eyeball appear over their heads, turn your characters gaze in the opposite direction as quickly as you can or you'll wind up in even more trouble! They will make you fear them so much you may run into other swarms. They can even make you fall in love with them which forces you walk into them unable to attack leaving you vulnerable and helpless.

Rescuing Scouts: If monsters are glowing red, take out the Shamans first as quickly as you can, they are buffing their group! Witch Doctors come next, they summon undead. Then quickly move on to Beast Masters as they summon swarms of compy.
